A vigorous, but neat and narrow, deciduous tree, very upright in shape to about 6m tall and 1.2m wide. Yellow-green spring leaves become bright green in summer then turn a striking orange-red in autumn. Can reach 6m in height. Requires acid to neutral, well-drained soil away from drying winds.
